Dentistry can be tough. And dentists and dental professionals have reported increased instances of anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges in the past few years. In this session, moderated by Dr. Jarod Johnson, the New Dentist Committee District 10 representative and mental health advocate, dentists will share experiences with depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges as well as ways to support one another during tough times. They will be joined by leaders from the ADA and other professional organizations to share resources to strengthen overall well-being.

Identify signs that someone may be experiencing a mental health challenge
Recognize ways support dentists, team members and family who are managing mental health challenges
Investigate the ADA, and state and local dental society resources and other accessible tools available to strengthen overall well-being
