Dr. Scott Benjamin is an international recognized authority, lecturer, and author on dental lasers and advanced dental technologies and is in private practice in Sidney, NY. Addtionally, Scott is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center; an Adjunct Professor at Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine; a Visting Professor at the Unversity at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, and a Faculty Expert at the Laser and Health Academy. Dr. Benjamin is the chairperson of the ADA Standards Committee’s working group on digital imaging technologies and the Chairperson of working group on dental lasers .He is a Past-Chairperson of the ADEA’s Lasers in Dentistry–Special Interest Group and is intimately involved with developing the program for laser education for the dental and hygiene schools’ core educational curriculum in both the didactic and clinical environment. Scott is an active and voting member of the ANSI Standards Committee Z-136 on laser safety and is a Past-President of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD).
