Kathleen Nichols, D.D.S., FAGD, recently retired after practicing in Lubbock Texas for over 35 years. Dr. Nichols opened her practice after graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1986. She has received fellowships in the prestigious American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists and was also awarded a fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In 2015, Dr. Nichols attained fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Nichols serves on the Council of Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association Council on Ethics and Judicial Affairs. Dr. Nichols is on part-time Clinical Faculty at the University of Texas School of Dentistry - Houston , and University Medical Center in Lubbock Texas . Dr. Nichols enjoys speaking and writing on the topic of Ethics in dentistry, having published two Ethical Moments articles in Journal of the American Dental Association: What are the ethical considerations of using video social media platforms such as TikTok in your dental practice, and The #ethics behind social media influencers in dentistry.
