Tiny Smiles, an ADA Foundation Give Kids A Smile® program, will provide educational tools and training to help you make a commitment to reducing the incidence of pediatric dental caries. This course is designed to increase your confidence to see children ages 0 (birth) to 5. Gain insight on how to interview the caregiver in order to assess the child's caries risk assessment and counsel them on disease prevention modalities and early interventions to reduce tooth decay. This course will highlight the importance of the age 1 dental visit and offer unique ways to add it to your GKAS events.

Increase your knowledge of the ADA Foundation GKAS Tiny Smiles resources
Learn proven successful techniques to conduct the age 1 dental visit, e.g., knee-to-knee oral screening exam, interviewing caregivers
Describe the importance of conducting a risk assessment during the age 1 dental visit
Collect new ideas for how to expand a current GKAS program to provide services to 0–5-year-olds
Explain the importance of the age 1 dental visit and how to successfully collaborate interprofessionally to provide oral health services to this segment
