In 2018, the American Academy of Periodontology published updated the classifications for periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions. This presentation will briefly review updated periodontal disease diagnoses and parameters. We will discuss treatment options including non-surgical, regenerative, resective, laser, and maintenance therapy techniques via concepts, literature, and clinical case examples.
